As global powers scramble to secure the raw materials essential for modern industries, the United States has taken another step towards diversifying its critical mineral supply chains, last week signing a memorandum of intent to deepen cooperation with Ukraine. Meanwhile tariffs have been imposed on helium imports to the USA from Qatar and elsewhere, strengthening the need for additional USA domestic helium production capacity. Lastly, Greenland is still frequently in the news, desired by the USA for its strategic position and endowment with mineral resources. With helium assets in the USA and Greenland, Pulsar Helium is very much in the thick of the action.
The USA is the world’s largest producer and consumer of helium, however production capacity has been steadily decreasing and Qatar seems poised to take the mantle of number 1 producer soon. Within a decade, the USA is likely to become a net importer of helium. With tariffs on foreign supply (10% for Qatar) and embargoes on Russian supply, the need for new domestic helium sources has never been greater. Pulsar’s Topaz project in Minnesota is the USA’s newest and most high-grade helium discovery, with all efforts focused on realizing its production potential.
Pulsar is the first mover in Greenland and the only company to have discovered helium there. Its strategic location and broader mineral endowment is well known, but also Greenland helium is one of very few primary (not associated with hydrocarbons) helium occurrences in all of Europe.

These locations provide rare exposure to helium-dependent markets across North America and Europe, adding operational resilience and market diversification at a time when both are in short supply.
Should Pulsar advance toward production at both sites, its presence in two of the world’s largest markets gives it an edge over peers operating in remote locations. Helium is vital for a broad spectrum of critical industries – from semiconductor manufacturing to space technology – both of which are increasingly prioritized by USA and European governments.
Pulsar stands out as one of the most strategically placed primary helium developers who strives to support and possibly stabilize the global supply chain. Helium supply has been volatile for over a decade and with its increasing technical applications, is likely only to intensify.
Among Pulsar’s growing investor base, there’s a developing awareness of helium’s emerging role in advanced technology. Early backers appear to recognize the link between innovation and raw material security, positioning themselves in a sector that many believe is on the cusp of significant growth and broader strategic relevance.
